Laurie Markin is originally from New York and completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University. She then graduated from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. Dr. Markin is a Fellow of The American Academy of Family Physicians
She is married and has two adult children. When she is not busy caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family. Dr. Markin also enjoys traveling and collecting keychains from the places she visits.
Professionally, she loves taking care of patients of all ages as well as extended families. Having been at Rocky Run Family Medicine since 1996, she has seen a number of the area families grow up. She really finds it fun to read about her patients in the local newspapers.
